Management of excess standing biomass in Argentinean grasslands to increase grass and livestock productivity

For more than 25 years now, I have concentrated my research efforts on the soil-plant interface and their environment. As a researcher, I am interested in applied research on the field of natural resources management. All my activities are team-oriented and multi-disciplinary; I am leading the activities on several projects related to soil mapping, land use change, climate change and natural resources management.
During my masters, I studied grassland and cattle grazing interactions with the aid of remote sensing tools, under the scientific leadership of Dr. Jürgen Schellberg in the University of Bonn, Germany. My Ph.D. work focused on high impact grazing as an alternative to traditional grazing, under the scientific leadership of Prof. Dr. Folkard Asch in the University of Hohenheim in Stuttgart, Germany.
At the end of my PhD I was offered an Assistant Professorship at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of the Northeast, in the Department of Water and Soil, Natural Resources. Besides that, I got a position as Research Coordinator at the INTA Corrientes Experimental Station in Argentina. Both activities are ongoing.
